Masterplanning by Fluid Cube Architects

Masterplanning is about taking an overview, which puts individual projects into context.
Besides needing a clear brief and site information, careful consideration has to be given to project programme, work sequence, spending priority and financial constraints.

Masterplans may vary according to the client group (schools, charities etc.).

    • a summary of the vision
    • a summary of the brief
    • schedules of sites/rooms/spaces/functions as existing
    • drawings and diagrams as existing
    • a description of the proposals
    • schedules of sites/rooms/spaces/functions at the end of the process
    • drawings and diagrams at the end of the process
    • schedules of rooms/spaces/functions at each phase
    • drawings and diagrams at each phase
    • cost: scoping exercises/budgets, phase by phase
    • spending profiles over time

This will not be ‘written in stone’ and will be a piece of work that is continuously adapted over time.
We recommend the process for any premises with several buildings.
