BIM – Building Information Modelling
VDC – Virtual Design and Construction
CCC – Construction and Cost Coordination

by FluidCube Architects

BIM (Building Information Management)
VDC (Virtual Design and Construction)

Our experience in the construction industry has lead us directly to develop capacity within the growing field of BIM and VDC.

We use the software in combination with 3D modelling to generate quantities / rates / and cost summaries.
This is a new service that FluidCube Architects offers, which can be used on every stage of the project.

It would be particularly useful for:

  • client-side cost planning
  • contractor-side evaluation and ordering

We have developed BIM and VDC to assist us in providing Construction and Cost Coordination – but the uses of the technology actually opens up more exciting possibilities for providing new services to the industry.

Our design appreciation, financial awareness, cost assessment skills and management ability  put us in a good position to assist the delivery team on every type of project.

CCC (Construction and Cost Coordination)

FluidCube’s services are focused on creating efficiency and value. On a number of projects this impetus has lead us to go beyond providing advice and into direct management.

In effect, it has been more efficient for our client to use our primary knowledge of the building and the drawings, and commission us to arrange for the work to be carried out on their behalf.
This has particularly suited complex and fast-moving refurbishments.

We have had an enhanced role in controlling the overall cost plan, finding suitable main contractors and sub-contractors, and programming the detailed sequence of works.

Our design appreciation, financial awareness, cost assessment skills and management ability  put us in a good position to assist the delivery team on every type of project.
